Jim Garrett is the owner of Venture X San Antonio Northwest, home of the SA Cowork community. A San Antonio native and former U.S. Naval Aviator, he has led a Washington D.C. think tank, worked as an IT consultant, run an advertising agency as CEO, served as COO of an auto-racing sanctioning body, and raced professionally — before bringing nearly 35,000 square feet of premium flexible workspace to the city he grew up in.
A San Antonio story
Jim grew up in San Antonio and graduated from John Jay High School. He earned his bachelor's degree at Trinity University here in the city, and an M.B.A. from the University of New Haven. After a career that took him a long way from home, he brought the largest Venture X location in the network back to the city he is from.
Venture X San Antonio Northwest opened in summer 2022 across the 8th and 14th floors at 7550 I-10 — nearly 35,000 square feet with 18-mile skyline views, a full gym, an on-site restaurant, private offices, dedicated and shared desks, virtual offices, conference and training rooms, community and café space, and free covered parking.
